While carpet can be constructed using many materials, nylon, polyester, and wool are the most basic types used. Every type of carpet can have a place in your home, depending on what the space is typically used for.
Nylon

Hardwood Flooring

You have likely heard of engineered hardwood and may be wondering what that is. Solid hardwood is made using a single wood species and comes in single-layer planks. Engineered hardwood is crafted using a layer of hardwood and multiple layers of cross-grain plywood. The plywood layers add stability to engineered wood and allow it to be installed at many grades in your home. Solid hardwood flooring can be sanded and refinished up to three times throughout its lifespan. In contrast, the engineered variety can be refinished usually once or twice before the hardwood layer is exhausted.
Luxury Vinyl Flooring
Vinyl flooring has made incredible gains in the recent past. Luxury vinyl planks and tiles create wood, stone, and tile that looks nearly indistinguishable from the genuine article. Luxury vinyl flooring uses multiple layers of pressed vinyl sealed into a hardboard core with an underlayment backing. A protective top coating provides resistance to moisture and scratches. It doesn't get much easier than vinyl flooring when it comes to maintenance.
